A comprehensive professional training and personal development workshop for IFS practitioners who want to gain mastery. In Coaching with IFS-1 you learn how to sail. In Coaching with IFS-2 you learn how to sail in rough weather.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to: 

  • Open doors to Self without asking parts to step back

  • Hold a system-wide perspective

  • Integrate Polyvagal Theory with IFS

  • Incorporate Reichian survival patterns with IFS

  • Meet challenging managers and firefighters

  • Access and heal exiles

  • Handle thinking parts, Self-like managers, and dissociating parts

  • Work with clients who have lots of parts seeking attention at once

  • Manage big emotions safely

  • Follow up on unburdenings that do not stick

  • Release legacy burdens

  • Identify and send out unattached burdens

  • Call in spiritual resources (guides, angels, ancestors, deities, ascended masters, etc.)

  • Engage with past lives

  • Stabilize in Self energy to hold a compassionate, non-judgmental, and agenda-less presence

All trainings are live on Zoom. We limit our classes to 36 students to provide a safe and intimate community. We welcome students from around the globe.

This program is for coaches, therapists, spiritual directors, and other practitioners who are currently using the IFS model in their healing work.

You may be:

  • Seeking an increased capacity to coach from Self and attune to your intuition and innate wisdom

  • Desiring additional training in working with highly complex systems

  • Wanting an intimate and playful learning community where wisdom and confidence emerge from the cohort itself

  • Yearning for a training that is grounded in a heart-centered, Spirit-directed approach — one that includes, yet transcends, skills and protocols

Prerequisite:

We ask that you be a trained coach, therapist, or other practitioner with experience working with the IFS model one-on-one in a healing relationship. Please contact us if you are not sure you qualify: programs@healingandawakening.institute.

Format

This is an intimate and interactive training made up of nine monthly two-day sessions.

Our two-day sessions (Thu, Fri) will take place April - December 2026 (dates to be determined). All classes are live on Zoom.

Each day:

  • We meet from 10:30 am – 5:00 pm Eastern Time (New York).

  • We take two 15-minute breaks and one 60-minute meal break.

Class days include a combination of presenting practices, teaching, demonstrations, debriefs, Q&A, peer practice, and mentoring.

Our goal is to provide a learning environment that is structured, open, inclusive, and energizing, and to create a community that is connected and resonant.

The training includes three 75-minute Q & A sessions held on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:15 pm ET (US).

Your commitment

Attend at least 14, and preferably all 18 class days. Exceptions are given with instructor pre-approval.

For classes missed, watch the class recordings.

The Tuesday Q&A sessions are optional, though attendance is encouraged.

Meet with your practice partner(s) at least three times between classes.

Receive a comprehensive manual to help you integrate your learning.

16 hours of group mentoring

Mentors provide feedback on your skills according to the CIFS protocol.

Certificate of completion plus 40 ICF CCEs (pending approval)
